Referral & Accessing

Support

Liberty Women’s Foundation offers trauma-informed support for women who have experienced domestic violence, trauma, addiction, or significant life adversity. We understand that
reaching out can feel overwhelming, and we aim to make the referral process as simple, respectful, and supportive as possible.

If you're here, there's a good chance

“ Life has asked more of you than it ever should have. You may be carrying experiences
of trauma, violence, loss, or addiction or simply a deep sense of exhaustion
from surviving for so long. ”

You do not need a formal diagnosis or referral to make contact. Our role is to listen,  understand your situation, and explore how we may be able to help.

How We Assess Eligibility

This process is not an assessment of worth or readiness. It is simply a way for us to understand
your needs and how we can best support you.

Ways to Refer

There are several pathways to accessing our services. Choose the one that feels most

appropriate for your situation.

01

Self-Referral

Women are welcome to contact us directly to explore support options. You do not need a referral from another service. If you are unsure whether we are the right fit, you are still encouraged to reach out. A conversation can help clarify next steps.

If you’re here, there’s a good chance life has asked more of you than it ever should have. You may be carrying experiences of trauma, violence, loss, or addiction — or simply a deep sense of exhaustion from surviving for so long.

At Liberty Women’s Foundation, we believe in every woman’s capacity to heal.
We believe healing is strengthened through safety, connection, and being truly seen, not judged, rushed, or fixed.

This is a place where you don’t have to explain or prove anything.
You’re welcome exactly as you are, and you don’t have to do this alone

02

Professional Referral

We welcome referrals from professionals, including:

  • Counsellors and mental-health clinicians
  • GPs and health practitioners
  • Social workers and case managers
  • Domestic violence and community support services
  • Emergency and frontline services

Professional referrals help ensure continuity of care and coordinated support.
We are happy to discuss suitability prior to referral.

03

Referral for Someone You Care About

If you are concerned about a woman in your life, a friend, family member, or loved one, you are
welcome to contact us for guidance. While consent is required before we provide services,

We can offer:

  • Information about our programs
  • Guidance on how to encourage support-seeking safely
  • Referral options and next steps

Supporting someone you care about can be difficult.
You don’t have to navigate that alone.

What Happens Next

After we receive a referral or enquiry:

  • We make contact to acknowledge receipt
  • An initial intake conversation is arranged
  • Support options are explored collaboratively
  • Where appropriate, services are offered or referrals provided
